Mission Award Dinner

You are all cordially invited to the 2026 Monsignor Anthony P. Wagener & Fr. Joseph Walijewski Mission Award dinner. The honored award winners will be St. Patrick Parish in Sparta and Katie Danzinger from St. John the Apostle Parish in Whitehall. Everyone is welcome, but we will need an RSVP by September 23 from anyone who wishes to attend. Local Food Pop-up Event

October 14, 4pm-Until Gone | Juneau County Fairgrounds
1001 Division St. Mauston. Open to all Juneau County Residents. No income requirement to participate. Food varies based on season and availability. First come, first served basis. Provided by the Juneau County Local Food Purchase Assistance Program.

Gospel of Life White Mass & Banquet

On Friday, Oct. 16, at 6:00 PM, at the Cathedral of St. Joseph the Workman, Bishop Battersby will celebrate the “White Mass,” at which the faithful honor and pray for Catholic healthcare professionals. A banquet will follow, with Fr. Justin Kizewski speaking on the vital topic of “The Art of Dying Well: Spiritual Preparation for Death.” As the end of life draws near, much attention is paid to medical decisions, life insurance, a will, a cemetery plot, etc., but nothing is as important as preparing the soul for passage into eternal life. Fr. Kizewski will shine a light on the beautiful teaching and practice of the Church as she accompanies us, and our loved ones, in the last days and hours of life. All are invited to attend this special evening.

High School Leadership Retreat

October 23-25, 2026 | Crossroads Adventure Camp
This retreat will be a time for high school age students and chaperones to come together to pray and learn how to take active leadership roles in their parishes and schools. This year, we will be focusing on small groups and mentoring. Time and again, we witness how effective high school students are with engaging and encouraging their younger peers in the Catholic faith.

Safe Family Friendly Entertainment

Sunday, November 1 st; From 12:30-3:30
At the Mauston High School Commons and Auditorium. There will be a talent show for students 12 to 18 with judging and prizes. After an intermission you can tickle your funny bone with a talented group from ComedySportz, out of Milwaukee. If that’s not enough there will be bake sale items for sale and a silent auction for your enjoyment. The proceeds from this event will go to help fund the recent building project at the food pantry and the much-needed cooler and freezer to store the food items. If you would like to donate something for the silent auction or any baked goods see Natty Kranz or Deacon Tom and Sandy Hale.

The Mauston Community Sharing Pantry

serves people in the Mauston school district. It is open for food distribution on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays from 9:30-11:00. St. Mary’s Parish has joined as a church partner.

Food Pantry Update!

Thank you to everyone who continues to support our local food pantry! Here are a few updates:

• Our Easter Baby Drive was a wonderful success! Thanks to your generosity, we collected 67 pounds of food and 288 pounds of baby items!
• The generosity continued throughout the summer! From the end of April through the end of August, our parish donated an additional 321 pounds of food to the pantry.
• We have enough egg cartons! Thank you to everyone who answered the call and brought them in.
• Pop-Up Food Event: A special food distribution featuring locally grown food will be held on Thursday, September 24, beginning at 5:00 p.m. at Mauston High School.
• Thank you again for your continued support and generosity. Together, our parish is making a difference in our community!
